Why there are no setup fees to work around

Most printers quote a setup fee per colour, per print position. That single fact shapes everything about how you have to order.

Screen printing needs a separate physical screen burned for every colour in your design. A four-colour logo on the front and a one-colour print on the back means five screens, and someone has to make them before a single shirt is printed. That cost exists whether you order ten shirts or a thousand, which is why traditional printers set minimums — below a certain quantity, the setup swamps the job.

Our standard method is DTF (Direct-To-Film). The artwork is printed onto film and heat-pressed onto the garment, so there is no screen to burn and no per-colour cost. A full-colour photographic design costs the same to print as a single-colour logo. That is the entire reason we can accept an order for one shirt without a minimum, and why the discounts below are driven purely by volume rather than by recovering setup costs.

It also means a design with fine gradients, photographic detail or dozens of colours is not a premium job. If a printer has ever told you to simplify your artwork to reduce colour count, that constraint does not apply here.

Working out which tier your order lands in

Discounts are applied on total item count, so it is worth checking whether a few extra units move you into the next bracket.

The gap between 10 and 20 items

The step from 10% to 15% happens at 20 items. On a mid-priced tee, ordering 20 instead of 18 often costs little more in total, because the deeper discount offsets most of the two extra garments.

Run the numbers in the quote builder before you commit — it recalculates live as you change quantities, so you can see the crossover point rather than estimating it.

The bigger steps at 100 and 250

The jumps to 30% at 100 items and 40% at 250 are the largest in the table. For teams ordering annually, consolidating two smaller runs into one order frequently lands a full tier higher.

Because every order is saved to your account, a larger single run can still be distributed over time — you are not forced to hand it all out at once.

    Mixing garments in one order

Tees, hoodies, polos and headwear can sit in the same order. Since there is no per-garment setup, combining them is straightforward rather than something that complicates the job.

This matters most for teams kitting out staff with more than one garment type — a tee and a hoodie each, rather than choosing between them.

    Reordering later

Past orders are stored against your account, so a restock reuses the same artwork and garment configuration without starting again.

Reorders are priced on their own quantity, so a small top-up sits in a lower bracket than the original bulk run. Plan larger runs accordingly.
